The Story the Data Tells
This analysis identifies a "Retention Danger Zone" within the organization. By looking at the charts, we can see three critical insights that would be vital for any HR Director:
The "Junior" Flight Risk: Attrition is highest among the 26–35 age group and peaks sharply within the first 2 years of employment. This suggests a need for better early-career mentorship or a review of the onboarding experience.
Salary Sensitivity: There is a clear inverse correlation between salary and attrition. The vast majority of departures (163 out of 238) occurred in the "Up to 5k" salary bracket, indicating that entry-level compensation may not be competitive.
Role-Specific Burnout: Research Scientists and Sales Representatives are seeing the highest raw numbers of attrition, signaling potential high-pressure environments in those specific departments.
As an insurance agent, I understood that the cost of acquiring a new policyholder is much higher than keeping one. I applied that same philosophy to this HR dashboard—tracking employee attrition is exactly like tracking policy lapse rates. It’s all about protecting your most valuable assets."
