A dashboard showing customer churn rate within a cable company.
Project Overview
Customer churn is one of the most significant revenue drains in the telecommunications industry. The goal of this project was to analyze cable subscriber data to identify exactly when and why customers were leaving, allowing the business to refine pricing strategies and improve onboarding for new segments.

Key Insights Discovered
The "New User" Price Sensitivity: My analysis revealed a dramatic spike in churn for new customers when monthly charges exceeded a specific threshold. This indicates that price is a primary driver of early-stage attrition.
The Loyalty Paradox: Interestingly, long-term customers showed much higher price elasticity; as tenure increased, the likelihood of churn remained low even as monthly charges climbed, suggesting that perceived value or "stickiness" increases over time.
Contractual Influence: Identified the correlation between contract type and tenure, highlighting the risk levels associated with month-to-month subscribers compared to long-term commitments.
Drawing on 15 years of experience in the insurance industry—where policy retention is the lifeblood of the business—I designed this dashboard to bridge the gap between technical data analysis and the strategic need for customer longevity.
